Airdesign has announced the latest glider to their product line, the RISE.The RISE is high level EN B glider aimed at beginner to intermediate pilots who are looking for a glider with superior performance in its class.

The RISE is based on the profile of the competition-winning PURE and brings the characteristics of excellent performance, ease of flying and impressive passive safety into the EN-B class, at a level that rises above normal expectations.The technology used in construction of the RISE is equivalent to a glider in the high-performance class:3D Cut, Nylon rods in the leading edge and a technical sail-cutting method used across the leading edge area. This leads to an improved air flow and increased performance.

Mini-ribs in the trailing edge improve surface finish and reduce drag.A 3-line concept with the inner top C lines split to D.

Line attachments are positioned further back as on the EN-D PURE, which improves stability and reduces pitching. Unsheathed 'race' lines are used in the upper two cascades as well as a reinforced 12mm riser, both to reduce drag.The 2-in-1 progressive brake-line layout improves climb characteristics. The center brake fan is attached slightly in from the trailing edge to improve climb. At the tips, the lines run through small rings on the trailing edge to gather the tip and assist precise turning.

Easy launch characteristics, confidence inspiring and precise handling, high stability in turbulence, and a wide speed range of 37–53 km/h make theRISE an equally perfect partner for fun flying as well as for long cross-country adventures.
