UP has announced the release of their new EN B glider, the Makalu 3. The Makalu³ is incredibly simple to launch, fly and land, and it is even light on your back! UP has built a wing with focus on exactly the reasons why people gravitate to paragliding in the first place: Simplicity, safety, fun, portability and the performance YOU need to reach your flying goals.

The Makalu³ is optimized for total ease of use:

• Basic Intermediate wing, ideal as a first wing after school and built to keep you happy and last for many years
• 3-liner riser design - easier line-sorting, less drag, more performance reserves
• Swept-back wingtips like on the higher rated wings
• Improved riser design for efficient use of the speed system with high top speed
• Nylon rods forming the Airfoil Stabilizing System instead of Mylar for perfect leading edge definition, light weight and easy packing. Drag reduction by keeping the leading edge clean and in shape.
• Brake tensioning system (BTS) for crisper handling and optimum tension on the trailing edge
