The technical features of the VELVET 2 AIRBAG are the same as the VELVET 2. In contrast to the VELVET 2, it has in place of the 17 cm back protection a stagnation pressure airbag protection system with lateral air intake, which is produced under the license from Cygnus. This new generation of airbag protection is the culmination the experience of many years of Woody Valley with stagnation pressure airbags and a whole man-year of work with the crash test machine. These new developments meet both the requirements of the DHV and the European standard. It is an innovative, automatically filling multi-chamber system which also protects the top of the back optimally, beginning from the first phases of take off. The Voyager, the predecessor to the Voyager Plus, was released in April 2008. This was the the beginning of the lightweight reversible harness revolution. The Voyager Plus was released in March 2009 and has experienced a high sales volume in Europe. The Voyager was born as a mountaineering harness (weight: 3Kg) with its optional front parachute container made with light materials but the good demand for this product led us to make the "Voyager plus" (weight: 3.75Kg) which is the Voyager version with the parachute container integrated under the seat and with a bigger and more comfortable rucksack. equipped with an airbag, which fulfills DHV requirements and the European certifications. This new version of the X-OVER harness presents many of the X-RATED 4 aerodynamic and esthetic features, the inflatable tail in particular. Its elaborate geometry guarantees great passive safety also at full speed and optimum control when flying in turbulence. The earlier versions of the X-rated harnesses were a bit heavy and bulky to pack. Woody Valley has cleaned this one up nicely, and made it lighter.
